Albadil Alliance is a national, civil, independent, and reformist political alliance that includes an elite group of national, civil, independent forces and Tishreen Revolution activists. They have come together with a shared vision to rebuild the Iraqi state based on competence, integrity, and social justice

Definition of Albadil Alliance

Albadil Alliance is a political coalition established in response to an urgent national need for a new political option that expresses the aspirations of the Iraqi people after years of political failure and institutional deterioration. The alliance includes a group of political entities with a civil and reformist vision, and it is headed by Dr. Adnan al-Zurfi, a well-known national figure and the alliance’s sole candidate for the upcoming prime ministership.

Core Principles

Reform

It seeks to bring about a fundamental reform of the political and economic system in line with the aspirations of the people

Patriotism

The alliance is founded on the principle of putting Iraq first, free from external or sectarian loyalties

Civil orientation

It believes in the separation of religion from the state, respect for pluralism, and a state based on the rule of law and institutions

Independence

It does not follow any external political axis and places Iraq’s interests above all else

Why was Albadil Alliance formed?

The alliance emerged as a rational and organized response to the failure of traditional forces to provide real solutions. It is also a natural outcome of the Tishreen Movement, which sparked popular awareness of the need for change and demonstrated that the Iraqi people are capable of producing new political forces that carry their concerns and aspirations.
